Read moreFormed out of a mutual love of late 70’s and early 80’s post-punk, and 80’s alternative and jangle pop, the "O5" distill their influences into a sound that is reverent of the past, but uniquely their own.
Powered by music that alternately chimes, swirls, chugs, and soars, the lyrics eloquently capture the drama, hijinks, joys and frustrations of young adulthood,
Featuring Brent Mastel (vocals & percussion), Dave Vernon (bass), Don Egeberg (drums), Matt Bannick (lead guitar), and Tom Welsh (rhythm guitar)
Supported faithfully by: Rob Blackwell aka Rueben Kinkaid (Manager), Kent Vernon (Engineer/Producer), Steve Carlsen (Fan and band videographer)

Initially conceived as a demo to get gigs, the experience laid the groundwork for their next sessions. While there were aspirations at the time to try to re-record these mostly live tracks, these were soon abandoned as the band was moving fast and was already working on new material for their proper debut album.
